Things have been progressing at a cracking
pace in Catton Park recently.
Visitors to the Park will have seen a
great deal of change over a short period.
This is a summary of the work that has
taken place so far.

One of the first tasks was to work on the
whole Park area to kill off the
aggressive perennial weeds. The
major weed spraying took place on July 21st
with a more limited spray taking place on
August 5th.

Once the weed killer had had time to take
effect, the dead weeds were cut and
the rubbish raked into rows. This
was then baled and removed from the Park to
prevent it being ploughed back into the
soil. The cutting took place on the 10th
and
11th of August and on the 29th August the raking commenced.
All of the
raking and baling was completed by 31st August.

And finally, August saw the commencing of
the paths and fences along the
western edge of Catton Park.
