Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport which means maps, varied terrain and adventure.  It doesn't matter how young or old or fit you are. You can run, jog or walk, you decide your own pace.  Orienteering is a sport where competitors navigate their way between control points marked on a unique orienteering map.

Orienteering is a perfect outdoor activity for schools and groups.  It has challenging courses for all ages and abilities, and can be used as an element in the National Curriculum for PE, Geography and Mathematics.
The Catton Park Orienteering course can be as challenging as you require as there are a number of different option for courses that you can use. We have a total of 20 control points across the Park that are marked on our orienteering maps. The maps can be obtained from the Park Warden along with detailed instructions. Contact the Park Warden.
The posts include a red and white marker, a number and a letter; these are used for the participants to collect to ensure that they have completed the course correctly.
