Now the 70 acres of country park offer opportunities for peaceful walks throughout its mixed woodlands of mature oak, sweet chestnut and yew.   Within the park can be found many species of exotic conifers like the towering wellingtonias and fine cedars.  Inhabiting the trees is a diverse variety of bird life from blue tits and black birds to sparrow hawks, swifts, owls and woodpeckers.

Take a stroll up through the open expanse of grassland and you will come across the gnarled veteran trees standing proudly on their own, some almost 500 years old.  From the upper part of the park take in Repton’s vista beyond the green canopy to the Norwich cathedral spire surrounded by the urban skyline.
